I will overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
