La Petite Maison's Drink – How to Make It

WThis is a home-style take on a cocktail found on a new drinks list. It's a party-sized pre-mixed which is bursting with the tastes of the holiday season, making it ideal for your festive gathering. Reserve the remaining citrus syrup you can use for breakfast cocktails, sweets, or to mix additional servings of the drink.

Bikini Recipe

Makes enough for 10 guests

For the Citrus Syrup (yields 750ml)

300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g caster sugar

Ingredients for the Premix (yields 850ml, serving 10)

400ml premium vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml clementine syrup (from the recipe above)
Whole cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish

Method

For the Citrus Syrup: Combine the listed ingredients inside a pan, bring to a light boil, agitating until the sugar dissolves. Then, remove from the stove and leave to cool fully. Decant into a clean bottle, cap it and refrigerate it in the fridge, it can be stored for around a month.

Preparing the Batch Mix: Mix all the liquid ingredients into one large bottle, leave to sit for one hour, then strain best through muslin, to ensure it's fully clarified.

To serve: Measure 85ml of the batch mix into a cocktail shaker packed with ice, and stir carefully for a minute until cold. Strain to a chilled martini glass or similar, top with a few cranberries and complete it with a light spray of mandarin oil over the drink.
